Pathetic writing style. The main characters act like they're 12.

Throughout the entire book, we as the reader are waiting for a big confrontation between the two characters, but literally everytime the female lead tries to talk they just have sex. Badly written sex.

Then the male lead bullies the poor woman around the entire book and she doesn't stand up for herself once. After the guy makes a big stink about letting go of the past, he betrays her on their wedding day which naturally forces the long-awaited confrontation. Yawn.

I couldn't read any more. I assume they live happily ever after in their sham marriage.

I'm such a huge fan of baby's in romance novels. I have read this series a few times now but I never say down and write out a review for the books, so I figured now is the time!

Derick was great. He is being propelled by vengeance of things he thought he knew but in reality, sometimes things aren't always what they seem. He was a yummy alpha and I love that as soon as he was around Jasmine his insides get twisted. He is true proof to never get up and you can achieve greatness.

Jasmine kept secret's, and they propelled this story on. I really liked her and how genuine she really was. At times I wanted to shake her and him too but in the end they were both great characters.

The pace of this story was perfect.

The plot was fun and steamy with just the right amount of mystery and sad from the heroine.

Overall, I love this book. I think people that like secret baby's, second chance romance and a little bit of "what is going on" in their books will totally enjoy the first book of this series. 4 stars.

I've read other books by Melody Anne and enjoyed them and while she is not a very polished author, Tycoon's Revenge is so far below her usual standard, I am shocked she dares ask people to pay money for it. Is this a first draft? Because this plot is not very well thought out and the placing of chapters is confusing. It would have been helpful, since they jump from the past to the present and back to the past, at the very least to have said "ten years ago" at the beginning of a chapter when making that jump.

The plot is also implausible. If Jasmine is really such a sweetheart and everyone knows her to so, how then can everyone be so willing to suddenly and with no evidence, believe her to overnight turn into a cold-hearted bitch on the word of the man everyone already knew all along to be a nasty bastard of a man?

One of my least favorite tropes in romance is The Big Misunderstanding because very few authors can pull it off in a believable manner and Melody Anne should not have attempted it.

The author should do her fans a huge favor and pull this story off the shelves and substantially re-write it.
I'm at around 80% and completely apathetic to how this book ends. It is boring with long passages of unnecessary description and telling the story rather than showing the story. The sexual attraction between the H/h makes no sense considering how pissed off they are with each other and how long they have been that way. They both felt blindsided, betrayed, and destroyed, and yet they can't resist having sex? I don't think so. The plot makes no sense and it takes too much time for them to discuss the past and come to a resolution. There is no romance, only a jerk of a Hero and a doormat heroine, neither one with the guts to explain why the past happened the way it did. This was my first time reading this author and I don't think I will be looking for any other books by her.
